Conference: April 30 – May 3, 2009
Registration opens: February 17, 2009
Early Bird Deadline: March 31, 2009

Presenters:

Deadline for submissions: October 30, 2008
Notification of acceptance/rejection: November 15, 2008.
Submission of biography and photograph: December 1, 2008
Presentation handouts submission: March 20, 2009
Electronic Presentation Submission: April 1, 2009

Vendors:

Exhibit Fees Due: December 15, 2008

Call for Speakers
The 2009 AALT Conference Committee is currently seeking presenters for Celebrate! 35th Annual AALT Conference. You if have a session idea or would like to present a session please fill out a Call for Speaker form and sent it to conference@aalt.org.

Vendor Showcase
The 2009 Vendor Showcase will be held May 1 and 2, 2009 during the conference. Questions and completed Vendor Registration Forms can be sent to sponsor-vendor@aalt.org.

Keynote Speakers

The Conference Committee is pleased to announce that the following keynote speakers have been confirmed:

Kathy Knowles, the founder and director of the Osu Children’s Library Fund (OCLF), a non-profit organization that has helped to establish more than 170 libraries in Africa.

Marty Chan, local author and radio personality who is known for his popular children’s mystery series: The Mystery of the Frozen Brains, The Mystery of the Graffiti Ghoul, and The Mystery of the Mad Science Teacher.

35th Anniversary Celebration

AALT is 35! Come join us to celebrate and give tribute to an association that has made a significant contribution to the library, information, and records management fields in Alberta. If you have been involved with AALT over the years on committees or the Executive Committee/Board, the AALT Anniversary Committee would love to hear from you. Please note that the group rate is only available until March 31, 2009.
